If the system is broken – can we fix it? Better Food Tradersbelieve we can create sustainable, resilient food systems that feed us well if we work together as communities and food producers to take back control of the way food works. In this talk, I’ll present our manifesto for feeding cities, including how we use the Food Zones as a guide for rational & sustainable sourcing and how we enshrine trust, transparency, fairness and community into what we do. Get an insight into how we’re trying to change the bigger picture on a very localised, practical level and the obstacles and lessons we’re learning along the way. Our vision is both a radical and pretty simple one at heart - a better way is not only possible but happening right now, in quiet little pockets across the country.
